Information Page
- Purpose of SEAT shall be:
- To promote and develop knowledge in the care, training, and breeding of quality long distance horses. Long term use of the horse is of primary importance.
- To promote interest and educate the public in the recreational benefits of the use and/or the ownership of horses and trail riding.
- To promote friendly relationships with organizations and individuals of similar interests.
- To promote safe and responsible trail riding with a family-type atmosphere.
- To coordinate and/or help organize various distance riding competitions, both endurance and competitive, for the benefit of all horse people.
- To make available to all interested in riding, a regular opportunity to meet, ride, and learn with fellow members in the sport of long distance riding, competitive trail riding, and endurance riding.
- To assist in the maintenance of existing trails and the creation of new trails.
- To do everything possible to achieve the above objective, providing it is not unlawful and is in keeping with the tradition of good riding practices.

- Meeting Times
SEAT has a meeting on the first Monday of every month at 7:30 PM at the Old Country
Buffet (across from Greenbrier Mall) 1412 Greenbrier Parkway in Chesapeake,
Virginia.
- Membership
There are two kinds of memberships, single and family. The annual cost of a single membership is $20 and a family membership costs $30. Membership runs from the first of October through the end of September the next year. If you would like a membership application click here.
