Hello Riders,

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a Happy Holiday season, and has been able to stay warm. I am happy we are in a New Year, and I can not wait to see what 2010 has in store.
I want to say Thank you to Kim and Mark Vaughan for hosting the SEAT Christmas party in their home.  We had a great time, with lots of good food and time spent with friends.

 Well we are not off to a good start; the first SEAT ride has already been cancelled.  On the brighter side we are going to have a ride on the 23rd at York River State Park and another on 31st at Tidewater Horse Trail in Ivor. (Check the website for times.)  At the meeting in January we discussed a lot of places to ride in the next few months, and a few new meeting places. I am excited we will be meeting in Virginia Beach in February and off to Smithfield for March.  We are hoping to be able to see members that do not get the chance to travel to the meetings. With that being said it is time to renew your membership.
 We talked about having a guest speaker at the meeting in April. I suggested we have someone come talk about trailer safety and making sure your trailer is ready for the spring.  If you have an idea please let me know via email so we can reserve the speaker.

If you use the directions on the SEAT website to places like Petersburg, Beaver Dam, Northwest River State Park, and the other places listed; if you could let us know if the directions are accurate that would be GREAT.  If you find the directions are incorrect please make us aware and share the corrections with us so we can update the website.
Before I close, I want to thank the Board for their hard work in 2009 and I am looking forward to working with each of you in 2010.
